Crous Bourgogne – Franche-Comté

The regional student welfare office of Bourgogne – Franche-Comté

The Crous BFC offers students a range of services to support them all along their studies, i.e., accommodation, food services, financial and social aid, social events, etc. These different services improve their quality of life and help them on the way to success.

  • Financial support :

The Crous BFC proposes financial support in the form of scholarships (based on social criteria), or annual / punctual specific helps.

  •  Accommodation :

The Crous BFC manages 9m² rooms in student residences, studios, T1, T1 bis, T2, T3, and makes them available to students.

Mobility allowances are also proposed to students who apply:

  • Parcoursup mobility allowance is for baccalauréat holders who apply for 1st-year registration in an institution outside the geographic zone of their regional education authority
  • “Aide à la Mobilité Master” is for students whose application to a master’s degree has been accepted and who need to move houses.

These allowances are granted on condition. Students apply from their messervices.etudiant account.

  • Food services:

The Crous BFC cooks and serves meals in its university restaurants located nearby the campuses.

  • Culture:

The Crous BFC is involved in artistic and civic commitment projects through financial aids, contests, or by making dedicated spaces available.

  • Reception of international students:

The Crous BFC greets international students (French government or foreign government scholarship holders) and helps them with accommodation and administrative procedures.

  • Visale system (former Crous Caution Locative Étudiante (CLÉ) :

The new Action Logement Visale system replaces the former Clé allowance but does not substitute for housing insurance that must be subscribed before moving into the residence. This system provides rental guarantee for students aged less than 30 years, whether they are scholarship holders or not. This free rental guarantee ensures that the landlord will be paid in case of unpaid rents during the 3 years of the tenancy agreement for monthly rents of up to 1,200€ all bills included. This “guarantor” is mandatory for most of housing rentals and must be handed in on signing the rental agreement. To this end, the file is totally dematerialised (from application to acceptance) in order to shorten delays (2 working days). Please note that the student can start the procedures linked to moving in (water, electricity and gas meters) as soon as the rental agreement is signed, and preferentially 15 days before moving into the place for the meters to be working when moving in.
