EIFFEL grant : applications for the 2022 academic year are open!

The EIFFEL Excellence scholarship reward international students with excellent profiles, for a master or a PhD program. This is a national program supported by the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs.

All international students for a master or a PhD degree, who wish to enroll at UBFC for the 2022 academic year, can apply for an Eiffel grant.

The Eiffel scholarship is an excellence scholarship. All nationalities outside of France are eligible (candidates with two nationalities of which one is French are not eligible). Obtaining this scholarship, for a period of 12 to 24 months, offers a monthly allowance of approximately € 1,181 and the payment of study costs (tuition fees and CVEC fee) among other advantages!

MASTER :

Who can apply? The Eiffel Program is reserved for non-French nationals. Candidates
with two nationalities of which one is French are not eligible. Candidates for the master’s component must be 25 or under at the time of the 2022 competition—that is, they must have been born after the 31st of March 1996. The candidate must apply to a Master registered in the fields of study covered by the Eiffel scholarship.

How to apply? Read the guidelines of the Eiffel scholarship carefully. If your field of study is covered by the Eiffel scholarship program, contact the Head of Master of the program you have selected. If he/she decides to support your application, you will receive the guidelines and calendar to follow. The International Relations office of UBFC will grant you access to the platform dedicated to Eiffel applications.

When do I apply? You can contact the head of Master as of now. If he/she supports your application, you will need to fill out the application form on the dedicated platform before November 29th 2021.

Who is in charge of submitting my application? Only applications submitted by French higher education institutions are accepted.

For all applicants, the results will be communicated by Campus France during the week of April 4, 2022.

PhDs :

Who can apply? This program is only open to foreign students. Candidates with dual nationality, one of whom is French, are not eligible. The candidate must be 30 at the most at the time of the 2022 candidacy campaign; i.e. born after March 31, 1991.
How to apply? The eligibility criteria, the procedure, the duration of the grant and the calendar are detailed in the Vademecum. The UBFC doctoral mission will give you access to the platform on which you will fill out your application. Your thesis director, the director of the research unit and the director of the doctoral school will also be given access to give their opinion on your application.

Part 3 of the application form will be completed by the UBFC International Relations Department.

When to apply? You can contact the UBFC doctoral mission at boursefl.doctorat@ubfc.fr. In your message, specify the name and email address of your thesis director and the director of the research unit, as well as the doctoral school to which you are attached.

WARNING : to be able to apply, you must already have a thesis subject, a thesis director and a research unit

If your application is accepted, you will have to fill in the information concerning you before December 6th 2021 on the platform.

Who is in charge of sending my application file? The institution to which you submit your application is responsible for sending it to Campus France. Applications sent directly by students will be declared ineligible.

For all applicants, the results will be communicated by Campus France during the week of April 4, 2022.
