Presentation
The Université Bourgogne Franche-Comté (UBFC) is a community of universities and establishments (COMUE) created on 1 April 2015.
On 1 January 2025, the EPE (Etablissement Public Expérimental) Marie et Louis Pasteur will replace the ComUE UBFC and the Université de Franche-Comté (UFC).
It is also made up of two entities that will retain their legal personality: UTBM and Supmicrotech ENSMM, and six associated establishments: ENSAM for its Cluny campus, Besançon University Hospital, ISBA, ESTA, EFS-BFC and CROUS-BFC.
The creation of the EPE is the result of the determination of the institutions that have chosen to pursue a strong local dynamic, as reflected in the draft territorial cooperation agreement common to all the players in the regional higher education system. These institutions have opted for a structure capable of building on the achievements of ten years of cooperation within the framework of the ComUE UBFC.
As the creation of the EPE will take effect the day after the publication of the decree on 29 November 2024, the President of the UBFC, Macha Woronoff, will “exercise the powers of the President of the EPE” (Article 9).
