The MSHE C. N. Ledoux MSHE is a federative research structure, and a service and research unit under the supervision of the CNRS and the UFC, which federates the fifteen laboratories of the Franche-Comté region in the field of Humanities and Social Sciences, or with an SHS team within them. The MSHE is integrated in the national network of MSH (RnMSH) and has set up, with the MSH of Dijon, a federation aiming at reinforcing the collaborations developed between the two houses. The Federation is commissioned by UBFC to define structuring projects in the field of Humanities and Social Sciences and to reinforce the links between SHS and other disciplinary fields. Since 2001, the MSHE has been committed to the development and valorization of research in the Humanities and Social Sciences; it offers support services (administrative and technological platforms) and a specific scientific programing, structured in five interdisciplinary research poles.
The scope of the MSHE covers all the SHS disciplines present on the sites of the Franche-Comté region: archaeology, arts, biostatistics, foreign civilizations, cognition, law, ecology, economics, epidemiology, geography, geosciences, management, history, history of art, information and communication, computer science, linguistics, literature, medicine, neurosciences, paleo-environment, philosophy, politics, psychology, sociology and anthropology.
