Laboratoire de Sociologie et d’Anthropologie

The LaSA conducts researchs in Sociology and Anthropology about contemporary social phenomenas in France, Europe, or in others continents (Africa, South America). With a socio-anthropological approach, it aims at a deep description by taking into account of the multiple dimensions of a phenomena (political, economic, symbolic, territorial …). Two axes are deployed: the study of public and private actions as they are made (professional practices, legal decisions, medical productions, actions related to the environment); family relationships and transmissions in professional fields, at different ages of life or in periods of fragility (aging, illness, age transitions).
