Institute of Sciences and Techniques of Antiquity

A multidisciplinary research team (historians, art historians, archaeologists, civilizationists, philologists, linguists and jurists) in the sciences of antiquity, heritages and traditions, the ISTA leads a network of international scientists, particularly within the GIREA (International Research Group on Slavery since Antiquity), on the sources and social history of slavery and freedom, on religions and ways of considering ancient cities, on scientific and technical sources, and on colonial territories.

ISTA publishes the journal entitled ‘Dialogues d’Histoire Ancienne’ (‘Dialogs of Ancient History’), as well as monographs, collective works, and sources.
