Institut de Mathématiques de Bourgogne

IMB is the mathematics research laboratory of the University of Burgundy. It is also supported by the CNRS. It consists of 111 members including 40 HDR (scientists qualified to direct theses), and approximately 40 national and international invited researchers hosted each year for scientific stays ranging from a week to 3 months. Its research interests cover a broad spectrum ranging from fundamental mathematics to applications of mathematics to industry. IMB benefits from a very strong network of national and international collaborations. Its members collaborate with numerous public institutions and private companies. The institute hosts the editorial office of the international journal “Letters in Mathematical Physics”, published by Springer.
