They include the following three major axes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the stress laid on health promotion and prevention,<\/li>\n<li>the importance of a first-aid health offer (primary care) accessible proximally across the whole territory,<\/li>\n<li>the need to innovate in the organisation of the upcoming health offer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Besides, following the initiative of the Ministry of Solidarities and Health (\u201cDirection g\u00e9n\u00e9rale de la sant\u00e9\u201d) and of the INSERM, among others, recommendations are to <strong>develop public health research favouring a multidisciplinary approach<\/strong> (public health\/human and social sciences), and to strengthen the links with health decision-makers and stakeholders.<\/p>\n<p>In this context, the Regional Health Agency (Agence r\u00e9gionale de sant\u00e9, ARS) of Bourgogne Franche-Comt\u00e9 (BFC) had a study carried out to determine whether it was advisable to create a public health hub (\u201cP\u00f4le de sant\u00e9 publique\u201d) combining research and training in the region. At the end of 2016, a report was handed to the ARS BFC director general, entitled \u201cA regional public health hub for research and training: unifying skills at the service of people\u2019s health and well-being in Bourgogne Franche-Comt\u00e9\u201d\u00a0(\u201cUn P\u00f4le r\u00e9gional de sant\u00e9 publique pour la recherche et la formation : f\u00e9d\u00e9rer les comp\u00e9tences au service de la sant\u00e9 et du bien-\u00eatre de la population Bourgogne Franche-Comt\u00e9\u201d). Twenty observations and proposals were made. In September 2017, the author was asked to prefigure this hub.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-e93bbc4 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"e93bbc4\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-52990b8\" data-id=\"52990b8\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-525e3ca elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"525e3ca\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h4>Implementation<\/h4>\n<p>Seven partners gathered to set up the hub, namely the Regional Health Agency (agence r\u00e9gionale de sant\u00e9, ARS), the Bourgogne-Franche-Comt\u00e9 region, the Universit\u00e9 Bourgogne-Franche-Comt\u00e9, the universities of Bourgogne and Franche-Comt\u00e9, and Besan\u00e7on and Dijon university hospitals. During the summer of 2018, the principle of a partnership agreement was adopted based on the three following strategic orientations:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>initiate and support applied research projects in response to the public health stakes in link with the territories and populations of Bourgogne-Franche-Comt\u00e9,<\/li>\n<li>contribute to acquired knowledge transfer and valorisation for all,<\/li>\n<li>widely develop the training offer in the specific domain of public health.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The decision-making body is composed of representatives of the seven partners, and a scientific and orientation committee is soon going to be set up.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-4f8351f elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"4f8351f\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-b9ce1c0\" data-id=\"b9ce1c0\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9127301 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"9127301\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h4>Research<\/h4>\n<h6>Spotting and applying to the calls for national and international projects in link with the hub\u2019s priorities.<\/h6>\n<p>The Hub will assist Bourgogne-Franche-Comt\u00e9 researchers in the construction of their responses according to their needs, in coordination with the research teams of each academic institution.<\/p>\n<h6>Launching calls for projects<\/h6>\n<p>They will correspond to the regional priorities defined by the governance body. They will provide decision-support elements for developing a public health policy aimed at improving the health and well-being of the BFC population.<\/p>\n<p>Interventional research will be favoured, and convergences with primary-care research will be encouraged. Stress will be laid on the following points:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the organisation of the health system,<\/li>\n<li>the assessment of health policies,<\/li>\n<li>the medico-economic dimension.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Hub will develop knowledge transfer and trade among its different stakeholders in a cross-disciplinary approach and in relation with public health research at the regional, national and international scales.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/?page_id=42828\">2020 call for projects is open until 2020\/06\/30.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #32acc4;\">Call for projects results are available for consultation <a style=\"color: #32acc4;\" href=\"\/?page_id=47393\">here<\/a> !<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-7368d0f elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"7368d0f\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-49cf161\" data-id=\"49cf161\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-587e95c elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"587e95c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h4><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\">Training<\/span><\/h4>\n<p>There currently exists a discrepancy between an insufficient offer and a high demand.<\/p>\n<p>The main reasons are the following ones:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the stress laid on public health in different medical disciplinary fields<\/li>\n<li>the transfer of the training courses for diverse health professions to universities<\/li>\n<li>the priority given to health promotion and prevention, as well as to innovation<\/li>\n<li>the deployment of the sanitary service to all health sciences students, more particularly in public health and prevention<\/li>\n<li>the strong relationships between health and the social dimension.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The first steps could be organised around the following objectives:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>assess the training needs and the highly scattered current resources<\/li>\n<li>set up a pool of mixed tutors composed of university staff and health stakeholders<\/li>\n<li>spot promising initiatives and reinforce the networking and educational innovation dynamics in public health training, more particularly in initial training.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It is noteworthy that the French-speaking public health summer school will fit within this dynamic owing to its national and international dimension, notably in link with the EHESP School of Public Health (\u201cEcole des hautes \u00e9tudes en sant\u00e9 publique\u201d), Sant\u00e9 publique France, and teams from other countries (Switzerland, Belgium, Canada\u2026).<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-fce4803 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"fce4803\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-ad37914\" data-id=\"ad37914\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-98d4c25 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"98d4c25\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h4><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\">Deeds of the Hub\u2019s inaugural and residential seminar <\/span><\/h4>\n<p>The meeting organised in Beaune on 29<sup>th<\/sup> and 30<sup>th<\/sup> November 2018 was the founding event of the Hub.<\/p>\n<p>It gathered more than sixty participants who outlined the Hub\u2019s scope and proposed its main orientations for the years to come. It gathered approximately one hundred participants. In order to establish a dialogue between different stakeholders, the Hub chose to keep the round table format, which was organised around the theme: &#8220;COVID-19: How can we get our heads above water in this period of crisis? How to activate cooperation between researchers-decision-makers-health actors-citizens in order to better respond to current public health issues? \u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>This event (whose programme is
